The Green satiN Experience

Long story short - how the wheat bag home was born

I guess we all become a little crafty when we have our own children. At least this is how I started baking, painting, cutting and combining all sorts of recycled materials, making useful crafts and playing with playdough again.

This is much more fun and cheaper than buying toys and ready-made sweets. And it is my way of saving our planet as well.

In the middle of all these experiences, I remembered how my grandma used to machine sew her own clothes, knit our wool socks, make wool filled duvets for the whole village, create very colorful rag rugs, craft bee wax candles. Not to mention that she even knew how to make clay construction bricks and that she often helped her neighbours to string their fresh tobacco leaves in order to get them dry. Ahh, she also had a traditional head-kerchief full of tiny beads which she used to give us to make necklaces and bracelets. Especially when we needed a break from jumping up and down and running around.

Having said that, a few years ago I bought my first sewing machine as I wanted to do more and try new things!

I was so happy when I sewed my first cushion covers, patched my son's jeans and... created my signature wheat bags with embellishments. Since then, I have been selling lots of my creations at markets and events and they have been very successful. After contacting a few people from the health industry and getting good feedback on my wheat bags I decided to start up my own business.

I said to myself: I love marketing and I would like to continue doing it, but I also love being creative and making things. So why not actually create my own product and market it?
